Challenges in accessing Lithium-lon Batteries, Let it
Burn vs Put it Out, Exposure Protection, Vehicle re-
location, off-gassing, thermal runaway, Stranded
Energy, Exposure Hazards for first responders and
civilians, Charging System Hazards.

Practical Session
Walk through of techniques for Firefighting principles
and practices with hybrid/electric vehicles. Response
options for vehicle fires with standard engine
company equipment. Equipment options available
commercially for Hybrid/EV responses. (No live fire)
